Competition pushes pipers to play and sound their best. While far from his sole focus in piping, Micah returned to competition in 2023, and has seen considerable success. As a competitor, Micah plays at the Open/Professional level, where his skills are tested against the best pipers in the Pacific Northwest and North America.

Since returning to competitive piping, Micah has consistently won prizes in competitions on the West Coast and in the Midwest, including:
